He liked me in highschool, but I thought he was too goofy. We started dating our second year in college. We were married August 14th 2004 and had our little Madison July 30th 2008. Colin completed our family on October 11th, 2011.

This last weekend we finally made the big leap into converting Madison's crib into a toddler bed. I have been putting it off because I was not ready for my baby to be a toddler in her own bed!!! The transition has been great; no problems at all. I think I had the hardest time.
Mom and Dad were here last Saturday through Tuesday. We had a really nice visit. Madison and Grandma went shopping just the two of them while I gave Dad and JR a peel. Unfortunatly, Mic had school that day. It has turned into beautiful fall weather and we've been enjoying the outdoors.
Madison got sick last night and so Mic came over to help me because JR was working a 24. Thank heavens for her. I have such horrible fear and anxiety about throwing up that it was nice to have her here helping me. She had to get up at 5 am to get ready for practicum... if that isn't the best sister, then I don't know what is. Thank you Mic.

Getting ready to do the Alpaca obstacle course

She is so shy, just like her Mommy

Feeding the Alpaca's

We went to a coworker of JRs a couple of weeks ago who has an Alpaca farm. Madison had a wonderful time watching the Alpaca's, painting a pumpkin that she will tell everybody about and going on a hay ride.
Madison is sure showing her independence. We spend half the time in tears (both her and I). As JR puts it, she is conflicted. She wants to go see Daddy and work, but she doesn't want to see him. She wants that outfit, but then she doesn't, she needs to go potty, but she doesn't, etc...... Let's just say for every activity it probably take 30 min. just to get her ready for it. Thank goodness she is so adorable..... things that she says that make me laugh are: "Hungry in the car." I will keep you safe, Mommy." and she calls Grandma "Gram cracker."

Daddy, Grandpa, and Madison at Little Gym

What a busy month!!!! Grandpa McGee and Grandma Anita were here last week and then JR and I went camping with our good friends Steve and Nina at a fire lookout tower. For those of you who have always wanted to do it, but never have; I strongly recommend it. We were so high up that a plane flew by and it was the same elevation as us, that was completely awesome!!!
Madison is growing my leaps and bounds. She just had her two year check up and is doing wonderful. She is saying the funniest things. Today she told me she loved my face :) She says her ABC's all to herself and is starting to use the potty :)

Big Girl

Madison and Grandma (Madison was trying to pick mom up)

Madison in her tutu, wings, and apron

Madison breaks my heart sometimes. She has been having a hard time going to sleep at night, so we have to go in a couple times. Tonight I was rubbing her back and she goes" No more crying, me big girl!!!", "No more binki, ate them all." She is the most adorable thing. I just wanted to pick her up and hug her so tight.
Grandpa McGee and Grandma Anita are here this week and Madison is having a great time with them. Grandpa chased her all around the backyard yesturday and I couldn't tell you who was more worn out :)
Grandma was here last weekend. We had a great girls day on Friday. We went to Art in the Park and to the Spaghetti Factory. Mom had to leave on Sunday after she had put Madison down for a nap. When Madison woke up she was crying for Grandma and it was so sad.

Fun videos

This video is so funny. Uncle Mark and Aunt Mic had come over for the Huskie's game and Madison started this fake cough. She then told us that we needed to call the doctor, call Daddy, and that she needed the ambulance to come get her!!!

The other day Madison started singing her abc's all by herself!!!!

Getting ready with Mommy

This past month we took Madison to the Boise Fair. She was not ready to ride any of the rides, but she loved the petting zoo. When she saw the animals she opened her mouth really wide!!! She also was able to see an Australian exhibit that had kangaroos and also a Dinosaur exhibit, but she got scared and we had to leave.
Madison has also finished her summer swimming lessons, which she did awesome at! She has started Little Gym again.

Madison and I have been battling it out. She has been testing her independence with hitting and throwing and so she has had a couple of time outs and yes, we do spank. Right now we are just trying to figure out what works for her. She also has become terrified of the dark and so she sleeps with her door open and a lamp on in the hallway. She spends about awhile crying for JR and I and then will play for about an hr., then finally, around 930 she falls asleep. It has not been an easy month, but she is still completely adorable and I love her more than anything!!!

With everybody going back to school, it occured to me that I really need to enjoy having Madison home everyday because in the next year or two she will be starting school and there will never be another period of time where she is all mine.
