About Me

My photo
JR has been a paramedic for Ada County for the last 9 years. I also work for Ada County Paramedics in the Logistics Department. JR and I have known each other since middle school. He liked me in highschool, but I thought he was too goofy. We started dating our second year in college. We were married August 14th 2004 and had our little Madison July 30th 2008. Colin completed our family on October 11th, 2011.

Goofing off!!!
I knew it was too good to be true. For the first week and a half Colin was sleeping for 3 to 4 hr chunks at night starting around 9:30 pm, but now he is fussy from 7 to 11 pm and is awake for hrs during the night. We started him on Zantac for acid reflux and I really hope it works because I am exhausted!!!
Madison is doing great with him. The only problem we are having is she keeps wetting her pants multiple times a day. I have started putting her on timeout for it because we ask her multiple times a day and she just keeps wetting, but I had expected this and we will get through it.
Colin is already up to 8 lbs. 9 oz. from his birth weight of 7 lbs. 11 oz., at least I know that breast feeding is going well.
Next week we head to CDA to show off our little man to all of our friends and family. Grandpa McGee and Grandma Anita were here last weekend and this past weekend Grandma McGee has been here.

Introducing Colin Brock McGee

We have had two new things enter our lives this past week.  First of all, we got a new Volkswagon Jetta TDI and secondly, we had our baby boy.  I will spare the details of the delivery, but on Tuesday morning Colin Brock McGee was born.  Luckily, Grandma and Papa were here along with Aunt Mic and Uncle Mark.  We came home Wednesday morning to Aspen, Demon, and Kelty.  Madison is like a second mother to her baby brother.  She is so happy to sit and hold him all day and loves to stare at him in his crib.  She doesn't  like it when someone takes him from her or if he gets upset and starts crying, or if he's sleeping and can't hold him.  Miss Madison has had a couple of rough moments when I can't put her to bed because I am nursing Colin or if Daddy and Papa go on a bike ride, but she has done very well.  I of course have mothers guilt and have my moments where I start crying because it has just been Madison and I for three years and now I have to figure out how to share equal time between her and Colin and the last thing I want is for her to be sad that I'm not there for her when I have always been there for her, but the one thing that terrifies me most is when Mom and Dad leave and JR works his 24 hrs and I have to get Madison down for bed and watch the baby.  How am I going to do it without all of us ending up in tears?

After 12+ years JR finally traded his truck in and being the mature adult he is, he decided to get a diesel car for the great gas mileage... he now has the Pathfinder and I get the Jetta

I am not very good at adapting to change, but Colin has been a wonderful baby so far.  He pretty much only gets fussy when he is hungry and other than that he sleeps all the time.  I get up to feed him about twice a night and then Grandma rocks him for a couple of minutes and he's back in bed.  I really hope that we can keep that routine, but with JR taking over Mom's role because I feel like I can survive on this sleep, but I keep waiting for the good luck to change, but Mom says not to create problems.

I turned 30 this past Saturday. It ended up being a wonderful day, even though I had been dreading it. Mic and Mom surprised me with a massage and a pedicure. Mom and Dad drove down on Friday night so they could be here if the baby came and also to celebrate my 30th birthday. Dad also retired on Oct. 1st, so we had that to celebrate!!!! We all went out to dinner and then JR surprised me with a new fossil watch.
On the baby end we are just waiting, but nothing is happening. I feel like my blog is really choppy, but you could say my brain isn't working well at the moment ;)
