About Me

My photo
JR has been a paramedic for Ada County for the last 9 years. I also work for Ada County Paramedics in the Logistics Department. JR and I have known each other since middle school. He liked me in highschool, but I thought he was too goofy. We started dating our second year in college. We were married August 14th 2004 and had our little Madison July 30th 2008. Colin completed our family on October 11th, 2011.

Comparison

I don't have any pictures of Madison as a newborn on here so I thought I'd put one on and also a present day picture so we can see how much she has grown in 4 months. Our friends the Busch's just had a baby and I can't believe that Madison was ever that tiny. As I look through the pictures for comparisons I can't believe how fast time flies. It makes me ready for a new baby, which JR does not want to hear. I just don't want Miss Madison to grow up so fast, I love her being a baby.

4 month check up

Madison just had her 4 month check up. Here are her statistics

weight: 14.9 lbs 75%

height: 23.5 inches 25%

head circumference: 40.5 40%

so Madison is a short round baby with a tiny head, just like her mom.

Madison can start solid foods anytime, but she hasn't been showing any interest so I am sure we will wait a little bit longer. I do plan on making her food myself.

Thanksgiving

Madison just celebrated her first Thanksgiving with Grandpa McGee and Anita. They arrived Tuesday evening and will stay until Saturday or Sunday. It's been a nice time for them to spend with Madison and the family. We had the traditional Thanksgiving dinner with turkey, stuffing, potatoes, candied yams, rolls, and salad. I made pumpkin pie for dessert. Unfortuantly, Madison is not old enough to eat anything other than formula, next year though. Even Aspen and Demon had their own special Thanksgiving dinner.

Kelty

We call Kelty Nanny Kelty. She loves Madison so much, as you can tell from this picture. Wherever Madison is Kelty is. When mom and dad were in Bulgaria we watched Kelty for three weeks. Every night Kelty would help with Madison's bath. She would move Madison's tub with her nose. When Madison is in her swing, Kelty lays underneath the swing. When Madison cries Kelty always comes running to see what she can do to help. It is pretty sweet.

swing

On Monday JR was watching Madison while I was at work. He had put her in her swing and gone into the kitchen to do something. He heard her crying and when he looked to see what was wrong he noticed that she wasn't in her swing, she was under the swing waving her arms around. She wasn't hurt, but I think her Daddy felt pretty bad. He held her until I got home from work.

Grandpa and Madison

Dad wants me to add a picture of him and Madison. After our Thanksgiving dinner she was tired and so she fell asleep with Grandpa on the couch.

November 7th-10th

Grandma and Grandpa Golden came down to celebrate an early Thanksgiving with Madison. On Saturday we took Madison for some 3 month pictures. Luckily she smiled for some of them and also sucked on her hand. Sunday we had our early Thanksgiving dinner. Madison sat in her highchair while we ate at the table. She started sucking in her upper lip which made us all laugh. She also got her new jumper today which made her talk. I think she enjoys being able to sit up and move around. She has changed so much these first three months

nursery

I know many of you (most of you) have not seen Madison's nursery. Mom came down one weekend and painted, put up the wall paper, and curtains. JR and I picked the furniture out together. As soon as I found out I was having a girl I ordered her bedding. It's pink french rose nursery bedding. I love her room.... its cozy and girly, but not too girly. The bottom of the room is green and the top is pepto bismol pink. I love rocking her in her rocking chair at night with her lullabies playing all bundled up. Linda Cathey made the quilt on Madison's rocking chair and I cross stitched the quilt above the rocking chair.
