About Me

My photo
JR has been a paramedic for Ada County for the last 9 years. I also work for Ada County Paramedics in the Logistics Department. JR and I have known each other since middle school. He liked me in highschool, but I thought he was too goofy. We started dating our second year in college. We were married August 14th 2004 and had our little Madison July 30th 2008. Colin completed our family on October 11th, 2011.

Happy Thanksgiving

Madison and I at Tillamook (I promise I wasn't hurting her)

Madison is like Grandma.... she loves ketchup

Loving her cows

Do you think she thinks it's real? Kisses

Getting ready to say goodnight to the chickens

We are spending Thanksgiving with JR's Dad and Anita. It's so beautiful here, but it's soooo far away. It took us about 13 hrs to get here and let me say that Madison did so much better than I did. I was pretty whiny by hr 10. I don't know if this makes us bad parents, but we played Fraggle Rock, UP, and Baby Einstein on the DVD player and then I watched Home Improvement the last 2 hrs. It's rainy today, but it's supposed to be nice after this. We are hoping to take Madison to the beach, maybe on a hike, and then on Saturday Rick is taking us to a Christmas lighting show. We wish everybody a safe and happy Thanksgiving.

Home at last

This weekend Michala finally came home from the Peace Corps and her travels with Mark. Madison and I flew up Friday afternoon and then Michala flew in Friday night. We are getting ready to fly home this afternoon. Aspen and Demon are staying up here until the beginning of December. Madison is growing so much. She is walking around the house right now with the dogs toys trying to give it to them. It's exciting to know that Michala is home to stay and that we won't have to say goodbye to her again.
Last night Michala narrated a slide show of her last couple of months traveling. It's amazing how much history she knows. It makes me realize how naive I am about the history of the world. I laugh because Mark reads Newsweek for his politics and I get my political information from Vanity Fair!!!!
Stay tuned, our family has a lot of changes these next couple of months.

Go OSU!!! (this was Mic's and my shirt as babies)

Go Alabama!!!! (thanks Aunt Patti)

I know it's been awhile since I posted my last post... I am truly sorry. Madison is changing so much every day. She now walks every where and yesterday she had her first bad spill. She was walking to her toy box when she tripped and fell, which resulted in a split lip and some cuddle time with Daddy. I felt bad that I wasn't there, but she is so lucky she has such a wonderful daddy to stay home with her and is so good at cuddling (I should know, I love to cuddle with him myself). Nothing puts me to sleep faster than cuddling with JR.

We have been having weekly playdates with Luke and his mom Lori. You can tell Madison is getting more comfortable going over to their house and today she was grabbing Luke and hugging him and pinching his face. It was the cutest thing ever and then they gave each other a kiss good bye!!!! We will be very sad when they move back to Ohio :(

I feel bad that the dogs aren't getting very many walks since it has been getting darker earlier, but I really hope they have fun at Mom and Dad's for the next couple of weeks and don't feel like they've been abandoned!!!

I almost forgot. The other day at Little Gym this little boys sister told JR that she really liked JR and that she wanted to know if Madison could come over for dinner!!!!
