About Me

My photo
JR has been a paramedic for Ada County for the last 9 years. I also work for Ada County Paramedics in the Logistics Department. JR and I have known each other since middle school. He liked me in highschool, but I thought he was too goofy. We started dating our second year in college. We were married August 14th 2004 and had our little Madison July 30th 2008. Colin completed our family on October 11th, 2011.

SO BIG!!!!

Now at 7 months

Then: newborn

We took Madison to the doctor this week because she had started twitching again. Her doctor thinks it's because she weights 2o lbs now and needs her dose of Prevacid increased. I can't believe that my almost 8 month old baby weighs 20lbs. ONLY 2 more pounds and she has to move from her baby car seat to a toddler one. I'm not ready for that, when JR told me today I thought I was going to cry. I remember when she was first born and could fit on my shoulder now she is so big.

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!

Look at Madison's adorable pink and camo shoes!!!

On the ATV

Only about a week and a half until I get to see my sister again. I am so excited that I can hardly contain myself. I want to tell everybody that I get to see my sister who is in the Peace Corps who I haven't seen in 1 1/2 years and who has never met her 8 month old niece. I just hope that we don't overwhelm Mic and Mark since they are so used to having their own time and living in such a different environment. I am sure I will have many posts when we are in Coeurd'Alene and many pictures. You guys will finally get to see what Mark looks like :) So keep checking and I will try and post when I am up there or I will when we get back.

Here is a video of Madison and JR. Madison makes the cutest face when JR blows at her face, she looks like her breath is being taken away :)

Madison loves her Pooh Bear
JR and Madison on the ATV

Madison didn't want her ATV ride to end (doesn't she just melt your heart!!!)

She loves this contraption that allows her to eat solid foods without choking. She loves grapes.

What a week!!!! I wish I could say that in a good way, but unfortunatly I can't. I was let go from my job on Tuesday. JR and I are trying to view it as an opportunity to assess our lives and where we want it to go. I never was happy doing MRI and I see this as a chance to figure out what I really want to do, what will make me happy so I can be the best wife and mother that I can be. Don't worry about us we are still very fortunate. We have the love and support of all of you and we really appreciate it.
I do have to say that I'm so glad it is Sunday. I love Sunday evenings because it's my one night off. JR gives Madison a bath and puts her to bed and then if she cries at night he will get up with her. I really appreciate these nights, exspecially since JR works three nights in a row and then sleeps till about noon on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Sometimes I almost feel like a single Mom for 4 days of the week. I don't mind though because JR busts his butt at work and sometimes goes almost 24 hrs without sleep. He's pretty sleep deprived by the time Sunday rolls around.

Hat

Madison loves JR's baseball caps. For those of you who know JR you know that he always wears a hat. The first time my mom saw him without one she didn't even recognize him. Madison is constantly grabbing her daddy's hats and trying to chew on them. It's so cute, but very unsanitary because those caps are NASTY!!!! When we were took these pictures she was playing peekaboo with them.

TOYS

I don't think there is a whole lot of difference between dog toys and baby toys. They are both plush and they squeak. So far, we have not had a problem keeping the dogs away from Madison's toys. They seem to know which ones are theirs and which toys are Madisons. This past week we bought Madison a new toy that spits out balls. Demon is fascinated by it. He can't figure out wether he should bite the balls or bite the fan that blows out the balls. Madison enjoys watching Demon with the toy as much as she likes the toy herself. Here is a video of the two of them. Aspen doesn't show much interest.

7 months!!!

Grandma and Madison

Grandpa, Grandma, and Madison

Mommy and Madison

Kelty, Madison, and Demon

My happy Baby in her new swing!!!
This past weekend Grandma and Grandpa Golden and Nanny Kelty were here. Madison turned 7 months old. I can't believe my baby is almost a toddler. She has her first tooth, is starting to roll over, and this morning I went in to get her out of the crib and she was upside down. Another thing I must mention. I made Madison homemade turkey and I have to say.... yuck!!!! I can not water down turkey and pulverize it. I thought I was going to gag, so mom had to finish it for me. I think I will stick to everything, but meat. I do love making baby food though. Here are some pictures from this past weekend.

Puppy Music

What gets Madison to laugh and giggle? It's her puppies!! Mom and Dad were here this past weekend and we were taking the dogs for a walk. For those of you who do not have huskies or malamutes or who have never experienced the joy of their "talking" then please listen to this video. We never say the W word (walk) because Aspen, Demon, and Kelty will automatically start a frenzy. It's a mess, but it's our mess and we love them very much. We do need a bigger house though, we are running out of room!!!
