About Me

My photo
JR has been a paramedic for Ada County for the last 9 years. I also work for Ada County Paramedics in the Logistics Department. JR and I have known each other since middle school. He liked me in highschool, but I thought he was too goofy. We started dating our second year in college. We were married August 14th 2004 and had our little Madison July 30th 2008. Colin completed our family on October 11th, 2011.

After swim lessons.. she was freezing

On the way to swim lessons... it was early 9:30 am ;)

I want to wish JR and my Dad a very happy Father's Day. I have so many fond memories of my Dad: playing tennis, mountain bike riding, camping at youth events, going to the cabin to watch the meteor showers (still haven't been able to see them yet). I just hope that Madison has wonderful memories with JR like I do with my Dad.
I hope JR had a nice day. He slept until noon while Madison and I ran around doing errands for him. We picked up supplies for our dinner (homemade pizza), and then we bought him an apple fritter and coffee. When we got home, Madison pretty much ate the entire dougnut including the last bite that she ripped out of his hand like the boys do.
This past week Madison started swim lesssons. She did wonderful!!!!! The teacher already dunked her underwater, she is blowing bubbles, putting one cheek into the water, and sitting on the edge of the pool and leaning in to me. She is so funny because you can tell she is having fun, but she tries to play it so cool by having no reaction. Miss Madison also attended her first parade, the Meridian Dairy Days Parade with Aunt Mic and me. She really liked the parade, but did not like when the cards reeved their engines.
Her favorite song is Usher's OMG.... she loves it!!! I had a video of her dancing and singing, but some how it got erased so I will try it again.

JR said my name one day so Madison started calling me Becca... thank goodness it only lasted that day.

I still think I love sour cream more!!!
Can you believe it is already June? The days are rainy, but warm. I am trying to savor them, before long it will be 105 and hot!!!
Mom and Dad were down here last weekend to celebrate their birthdays and anniversary. We had a wonderful weekend. We worked out in the yard planting flowers, Dad helped with the compost, and Mom painted the spare bedroom/office. Michala and I were able to go to dinner and see Sex and the City 2 (I loved it). JR and Dad also went for a mountain bike ride. The only thing missing was that Mark had to work so he wasn't able to join us.
Madison is changing daily. She climbed out of the crib for the first time on Wednesday night and was up until 10:45 pm, much to the frustration of her mother. She also used the potty with Grandma coaching her on (she's still not ready to be fully potty trained though, she will only do it for Grandma. We will be starting Mommy/Daddy swim classes on the 15th. The most important thing is that Madison finally loves Uncle Mark!!! She likes to call him on the phone and talk to him and the other day she kept pulling him into her room to play. She is also very moody and entering her terrible twos. Sometimes Mommy has to take deep breaths :)
