JR has been a paramedic for Ada County for the last 9 years. I also work for Ada County Paramedics in the Logistics Department. JR and I have known each other since middle school. He liked me in highschool, but I thought he was too goofy. We started dating our second year in college. We were married August 14th 2004 and had our little Madison July 30th 2008. Colin completed our family on October 11th, 2011.

8 weeks and counting down

Everybody has to wear a hat
Do you think Aspen looks happy?
So new news on the baby front. I was put on bed rest yesterday after I went into labor and delivery for contractions. I started having contractions/ Braxton Hicks on Wednesday and they still hadn't stopped Thursday morning, so they doctors office had me go to the hospital. They monitored my contractions and the good news was that I was not insane and imaging things, but I was having contractions. They gave me a shot which left me really gittery, but stopped the contractions and I was sent home. The baby is doing great and I am not dilated, so that's all good. I meet with the doctor on Tuesday to see how I do over the weekend, but for now I am stuck at home on the couch or bed. Mom flew down this morning and will stay until Monday night to help. I still have so much to do and feel bad because Madison keeps asking me to go do things, but I'm not allowed to leave the house. Hopefully, once I reach 34 weeks I can continue life and not be on bed rest, but for now we want to keep this little guy in.
I can tell you that I will be so happy to be done being pregnant. I don't sleep well at night anymore. I wake up anxious just wondering how things are going to play out and all the things I need to do. Hoping I don't have any more contractions and have to go back to the hospital, but we are all well and hanging in here.

We have 9 weeks till we meet our little baby boy and let me tell you that I am done being pregnant. I'm not ready for the baby, but I am big, hot, and tired. Right now I can barely muster the energy to vacuum let alone vacuum and mop the floors. I waddle everywhere and today JR informed me I looked swollen :) I had been having a lot of Braxton hicks, but the Doctor told me to stop working out and also no intimate time with my husband and since then they have pretty much gone away. JR has been a big help and he even gave me a wonderful foot massage last night that could have put me in a coma!!!!! Thanks babe!!!! We still have a lot to do before the baby comes, so let's hope I can get the energy up to finish decorating and organizing the babies room. Oh yeah... Madison now tells me I have a "big baby tummy."
This past week Rick and Anita were here. We had a really nice time with them. Rick and Anita had made Madison a beautiful bookshelf for her birthday and we've been enjoying it in her new bedroom. We also went to the zoo and the water park. I don't have any pictures from the water park because we don't like to bring the camera in, but we had a very enjoyable day. They left on Tuesday and Madison misses them very much.
