About Me

My photo
JR has been a paramedic for Ada County for the last 9 years. I also work for Ada County Paramedics in the Logistics Department. JR and I have known each other since middle school. He liked me in highschool, but I thought he was too goofy. We started dating our second year in college. We were married August 14th 2004 and had our little Madison July 30th 2008. Colin completed our family on October 11th, 2011.

Home at last

This weekend Michala finally came home from the Peace Corps and her travels with Mark. Madison and I flew up Friday afternoon and then Michala flew in Friday night. We are getting ready to fly home this afternoon. Aspen and Demon are staying up here until the beginning of December. Madison is growing so much. She is walking around the house right now with the dogs toys trying to give it to them. It's exciting to know that Michala is home to stay and that we won't have to say goodbye to her again.
Last night Michala narrated a slide show of her last couple of months traveling. It's amazing how much history she knows. It makes me realize how naive I am about the history of the world. I laugh because Mark reads Newsweek for his politics and I get my political information from Vanity Fair!!!!
Stay tuned, our family has a lot of changes these next couple of months.

Go OSU!!! (this was Mic's and my shirt as babies)

Go Alabama!!!! (thanks Aunt Patti)

I know it's been awhile since I posted my last post... I am truly sorry. Madison is changing so much every day. She now walks every where and yesterday she had her first bad spill. She was walking to her toy box when she tripped and fell, which resulted in a split lip and some cuddle time with Daddy. I felt bad that I wasn't there, but she is so lucky she has such a wonderful daddy to stay home with her and is so good at cuddling (I should know, I love to cuddle with him myself). Nothing puts me to sleep faster than cuddling with JR.

We have been having weekly playdates with Luke and his mom Lori. You can tell Madison is getting more comfortable going over to their house and today she was grabbing Luke and hugging him and pinching his face. It was the cutest thing ever and then they gave each other a kiss good bye!!!! We will be very sad when they move back to Ohio :(

I feel bad that the dogs aren't getting very many walks since it has been getting darker earlier, but I really hope they have fun at Mom and Dad's for the next couple of weeks and don't feel like they've been abandoned!!!

I almost forgot. The other day at Little Gym this little boys sister told JR that she really liked JR and that she wanted to know if Madison could come over for dinner!!!!

Fall!!!!!

Madison, JR, and I carved our pumpkins this weekend. Madison helped me separate the seeds so that I could cook them and then she helped me clean up the kitchen table by putting it all on the floor :) We also were able to accomplish a lot of yard work. Madison loves to watch her daddy mow the yard, but she doesn't let mommy get much work done because she wants to be held all the time. Fall is so nice, but it snowed today!!!!

Walking

I thought she looked so cute, but she wasn't happy to have another picture taken

Demon and Madison

Madison has started walking!!! It happend last Thursday while JR was out of town. He's never gone, but when he finally is she has one of her biggest milestones. We've been trying to capture it on video, but everytime we pull the camera out she stops. She also loves to go to the park and climb all over the equipment. She climbs up the stairs and slides down the slides. She is getting soooo big.

Well, Mom and I are here all by our lonesomes. Dad flew to Oklahoma today and JR flew to Virginia to do SWAT training for a week, but before they left we had a wonderful day together at a pumpkin patch. We picked out about 3 pumpkins and went on a hay ride. The weather was perfect fall weather (cold and windy). Today Mom and I painted the master bedroom and I pulled out Madison's winter clothes and put away her summer clothes. That child has more clothes than she knows what to do with. My house looks like it blew up so it's probably a good thing JR won't be home until Friday, but we miss him an awful lot.

Vegetarian

Madison crying because she wants raspberries

Madison is sooo cute when she cries

the infamous raspberries!!!!

Is one too early for your child to become a vegetarian? Madison does not want to eat her meat this week. I have to tell her no more fruit because I'm worried she's going to get diarrhea. She is so funny.... tonight we had chicken with pasta, green beans, tomatoes, raspberries, and some pumpkin bread. Miss Madison ate the tomatoes first, the raspberries second, some of the pasta, and bread and no chicken!!!!! We can't get her to eat meat. I'm sure Aspen and Demon are happy though because they get everything she doesn't eat because she tosses it on the floor.
